Erin Rhoades
Erin Rhoades is a native of Dallas, Texas, where she graduated from McKinney High School in 2014. She was a four-year varsity starter for the McKinney High Lionnette Volleyball program and was honored to be a part of the program’s turning point and first appearance in post-season play in almost two decades. Erin also played club volleyball for Dallas Skyline Volleyball (2007-2009) and Madfrog Volleyball (2010-2014). She was recognized for achievements by the National Honor Society, McKinney Education Foundation, and Performance Course.
Upon graduating from high school, Erin was the recipient of a scholarship to the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Erin attended the Academy to pursue her undergraduate education as well as her athletic career on the Falcons’ volleyball team. In January of 2015, Erin transferred to Texas State University located in San Marcos, Texas, where she was a three-year starter for the Bobcats’ volleyball program and studied Business. She graduated from Texas State University in December of 2018, completing her BA in Marketing with a concentration in Sales, as well as obtaining multiple accolades like Setter of the Week, Setter of the Year (2017), and the Oak Farms Academic Dairy Academic Excellence Award. Erin also worked under Don Coryell (Athletic Director, Texas State University) during her time as a student-athlete to promote the engagement of the Athletic Alumni community (‘T’-Association) through a variety of athletic events.
After graduating from college, Erin joined the tech industry working in various sales roles. She currently works for Unity Technologies in the Central Texas area. She also coached club volleyball for Austin Skyline Volleyball where she was given the opportunity to mentor, coach, and lead young athletes by running setter camps and coaching several teams at various age groups. Erin married her husband, Jack (Texas High School Football Coach), in 2020 and has jumped head-first into the world of Texas High School Athletics. They have had the opportunity to experience six seasons together at Gregory-Portland High School, Little Elm High School, Westlake High School (2020 & 2021 6A State Championships), and Cameron Yoe High School.
Erin continues her professional work in the tech industry as a sales representative, while balancing life as a coach’s wife. Erin and Jack live in Central Texas and have one daughter, Colbie, and a little boy on the way!
