Jeni Neatherlin
Jeni Neatherlin is a believer, mom, sister, daughter, friend, and servant leader that advocates for public education. She currently serves as the Superintendent of Hutto ISD - a 6A public school district in Texas, and she is the founder of Solid Oak Leadership. During her career, Ms. Neatherlin has been recognized throughout the state and nationally as an exceptional leader in education.
She has worked in both big and small schools, and she has led drastic academic turnarounds in all of leadership tenures. Jeni also has experience passing bonds, building schools, and most recently, she fought for Senate Bill 68 - legislation that became law in 2023.
Her accolades include being a Region 13 Superintendent of the Year nominee, being featured in TASA's Inspiring Leader Spotlight, having the 2021 Texas High School Coaches Association Article of the Year, winning the 2020 Highland Lakes Locals Love Us Educator of the Year, along with being a 2019 H-E-B Excellence in Education Principal’s Award State Semi Finalist, a Former Life Changer of the Year Nominee, and an Honorary PTA Lifetime Member Award Recipient.
Jeni speaks to leaders at all levels including first-time Superintendents, aspiring Superintendents, female executive leaders, administrators, and coaches, as she works with all educators on school systems to produce a positive school culture. Her hallmark mantra of advocating for building bridges between extracurriculars and academics has garnered her a national social media following. And for over five years now, she has helped school leaders from across the state find their next Athletic Director and/or Head Football Coach to ensure their district gets the right candidate that fits the goals of the school and community.
Jeni is a graduate of Midland High School where she earned a softball scholarship to Midland College. From there, she earned an undergraduate degree from Angelo State and a masters degree from Lamar. Jeni has one daughter, Trinity, who is in middle school.
